As Communications Director of the Memphis Bar Association from July 2004 to July 2013, I edited and designed more than 50 issues of Memphis Lawyer magazine, the bimonthly publication distributed to more than 2,200 members of the Memphis legal community. During my tenure at the MBA, I redesigned the magazine, cut printing costs and recruited additional advertisers transforming the magazine into an award-winning, profitable publication.
From a postcard or flyer to a conference booklet or event program, I've done it all. Applying my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, I pull together content, edit and design to see these items through to printing and mailing.

I combine my knowledge of design programs such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop with my experience with HTML code, Microsoft FrontPage and Microsoft Expression Web to design, develop and maintain websites both from scratch and by utilizing templates on platforms such as SquareSpace.

Internal newsletters are my specialty. From a 12-page printed publication distributed to 18,000 corporate employees to an e-magazine disseminated monthly to 1,600, I have designed and managed dozens of newsletters both in print and online over the years. I have created dynamic HTML newsletter templates as well as utilized online communications platforms Constant Contact, Mail Chimp and My Emma.
Please note that only partial screenshots of these newsletters are presented due to the private information communicated therein.
While I don't consider myself a graphic artist, I certainly know design and layout, and when duty calls, I create logos.
From full color magazines to black and white newspapers, I utilize Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to create striking print ads.
From large industry conferences to doggie daycare coupons, I utilize My Emma, Constant Contact, MailChimp and Outlook to design, disseminate and track promotional emails.
While I don't consider myself a professional artist or photographer, I have sold works of art over the years and my favorite hobbies by far are painting, drawing and graphic art. I enjoy painting with my children and utilizing my hobby in my work through illustration. Photography and photo editing are probably my favorites, and I have taken promotional images, portraits and event photos for various organizations and friends through the years.
